Good parts, slow shipping

I ordered an Arcade1Up Conversion Kit and some Sanwa Joysticks a few weeks ago. The parts themselves are solid quality, no complaints there. Everything fit like it should for my cabinet. My main issue was the shipping time; it took 8 days to reach Seattle, which felt a bit long. I also wished there were more detailed installation guides specific to the conversion kit on their site. It wasn't hard to figure out, but a little more hand-holding would've been nice for a first-timer. Overall, a decent experience, but they could improve on delivery speed and documentation.

Quick buttons, good price

Bought LED Arcade Buttons. Shipped fast. Buttons work great, bright LEDs. Will buy again when I need more for another project. Good value for the money.

Decent value on graphics

I was looking for some side art for my Arcade1Up cabinet and found a good deal here. I got the Kickplate Graphic and some matching Side Art during a holiday sale, which saved me a bit compared to other sites I checked. The quality of the print was pretty good, colors were vibrant, and the adhesive felt strong enough. Installation was straightforward. I really appreciated getting a decent discount; it made the project feel more affordable. I'd definitely look for their sales again before buying elsewhere.

Are these guys legit? Like, the 'original Jamma boards' they sell, are those actually original or just reproductions?

J Josh Doyle 2 months ago
Totally legit. They specify if it's an original or a multi-game board like Pandora's Box. If it says 'original Jamma board', it means it. They're good about that.

I've bought from them multiple times. Never had an issue with stuff being misrepresented. Their original Jamma boards are the real deal, not fakes.

Hey, looking to grab one of those Arcade1Up conversion kits, but also wanna get some Sanwa buttons. Will the first order discount work on both, or just the kit?

S Shane B. 1 month ago
I used a first order code last month and it worked on my entire cart, including a control panel and some joysticks. So I think it'll apply to the buttons too.

Nah, sometimes those first order codes exclude certain stuff. I'd double-check the fine print when you get the code, or just add everything to your cart and see if the discount applies at checkout.

What's their return policy like if I order a control deck but then decide I want a different layout? Is it a pain to send stuff back?

A Anna C. 1 month ago
I returned some buttons once, super easy. Just contact them and they'll give you instructions. You usually pay for return shipping though, afaik.

They're pretty reasonable with returns, as long as it's not used and still in the original packaging. Just make sure to initiate it within their stated window, usually 30 days.

I'm torn between a Pandora Box DX and one of the Raspberry Pi kits. Which one offers more games or better customization options?

D Derek 2 months ago
Pandora Box is more plug-and-play, super easy. Pi kit gives you way more freedom to add whatever games you want and tweak settings, but takes a bit more setup work.

If you just want to play games, DX is fine. But if you like tinkering and want a huge library, Pi is the way to go. More powerful too, for some of the later emulators.

Thinking of ordering a full-size cabinet from here. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to, say, California? Like, is it gonna be weeks or more like a few days?

G Gwen 2 months ago
Full cabinets are heavy, so it's not gonna be Amazon Prime speed lol. For my Bartop shell to Texas, it was about a week and a half. CA might be similar, maybe a bit faster if they're on the west coast?

Yeah, heavy stuff usually ships freight and takes longer. I'd expect at least a week to 10 days for CA, maybe more. Check the tracking when they send it out.
